Deadpool has spent decades proving that conventional superhero rules don’t apply to him, whether he’s traveling through time or straight up having a conversation with the viewer. Some of Wade’s strangest adventures are hilarious, but others got surprisingly dark. Either way, they’re memorable, and we’re here to break down a few of each.
1. He Eliminated an Entire Marvel Universe
An alternate version of Wade hunted nearly every major hero and villain in the 2012 miniseries Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. If the name wasn’t enough to tip you off, after Psycho-Man’s attempted brainwashing changed the voices inside his mind, Deadpool targeted everyone from the Fantastic Four to the Watcher. Thankfully, he eventually snapped out of it.

2. He Attacked Famous Literary Characters
Destroying one universe wasn’t ambitious enough, so the same version of Deadpool entered classic literature in Deadpool Killustrated…where his targets included characters from well-known stories. Bet you never thought you’d see a Deadpool and Moby-Dick crossover.

3. He Started a War With Other Deadpools
Deadpool Kills Deadpool placed the regular Wade Wilson against Dreadpool and an army of violent variants from across the Multiverse. The resulting conflict had alternate versions such as Dogpool, Kidpool, Lady Deadpool, and the floating zombie head known as Headpool. As if one of these guys running around wasn’t enough.
4. He Hunted Undead Presidents
When resurrected presidents began causing trouble in Deadpool (2012), S.H.I.E.L.D. assigned Wade to return them to their graves. Oh, that’s exactly what he did—to undead versions of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Theodore Roosevelt, who had resumed their old pursuits with much worse intentions.
5. He Married the Woman Dracula Wanted
Dracula hired Wade to retrieve Shiklah (try not to think too much about the logic) in Deadpool: The Gauntlet. Somewhere along the journey, Wade and Shiklah developed feelings for each other and married before Dracula could ever whisk her away to his castle. Honestly, only Deadpool could accept a job from the Lord of Vampires and finish it by running away with the bride.
6. He Held a Record-Breaking Superhero Wedding
Deadpool and Shiklah’s story didn’t even stop there as some kind of one-off. In Deadpool #27, their wedding was attended by an enormous collection of Marvel characters. The issue’s wraparound cover had 236 recognizable figures, earning it actual recognition from Guinness World Records for having the most characters on a comic-book cover at the time!
7. His Discarded Body Parts Became a Villain
Over the years, Deadpool lost enough limbs that someone could collect them without Wade noticing. And what are you to do with all those pieces? Well, they eventually regenerated, joined together, and formed a hostile duplicate appropriately called Evil Deadpool. Yeah, that’s one name for it.
8. He Formed a Team With Versions of Himself
After meeting alternate counterparts, Wade assembled the Deadpool Corps to handle threats that required an entire squad of mercenaries. We’re talking Lady Deadpool, Kidpool, Dogpool, and Headpool, whose condition didn’t even prevent him from joining in.

9. He Fed Pieces of Himself to a Teammate
During Uncanny X-Force, the team became stranded while Angel was starving and unable to find legitimate food. Deadpool then took it upon himself to secretly slice off portions of his regenerating body and feed them to Angel to keep him alive. The act was gross, but it also showed how far Wade would go to protect someone, so you take the good with the bad.
10. He Became Zenpool
The only thing worse than Wade’s regular nonsense is when it somehow stops. The morality-altering spell used during Marvel’s AXIS event transformed him into a calm pacifist known as Zenpool. Instead of reaching for weapons, he offered thoughtful advice and tried to resolve confrontations without violence.

11. He Joined Hydra
When a Hydra-aligned version of Cap took control during Secret Empire, Deadpool remained loyal, all because he trusted the guy in the uniform. Acting on Captain America’s orders, Wade took Phil Coulson’s life before discovering that he’d fallen in with a corrupted impostor. His guilt actually became a major part of The Despicable Deadpool.
12. He Tricked the Skrulls With His Own Healing Factor
During Secret Invasion, Wade allowed the Skrulls to study his regeneration so they could create enhanced warriors. The thing is, the resulting soldiers inherited more than his healing factor—they developed his instability and became impossible to control. Well, that’s what you get for thinking this would work.

13. He Brought a Hydra Agent Everywhere
Bob originally served Hydra because he wanted a steady job and dental coverage, which didn’t prepare him for teaming up with Deadpool. Sure enough, Wade repeatedly dragged him into dangerous missions despite Bob possessing limited combat ability and even less enthusiasm. Their friendship somehow survived shootouts, supervillains, and Wade’s refusal to recognize when Bob wanted out.
14. He Defeated Carnage
Deadpool decided that he was uniquely qualified to capture Carnage. After all, both appeared to operate without logic, so in Deadpool vs. Carnage, Wade deliberately followed random impulses, convinced that chaos itself would guide him toward Cletus Kasady. Attempting to out-random Carnage was exactly the sort of strategy only Deadpool would consider.
15. He Became the King of the Monsters
After the previous ruler of Staten Island’s monster population was gone, Deadpool claimed the title. As King of the Monsters, he found himself responsible for governing creatures that ordinary people didn’t even realize were around. Wade enjoyed the authority, sure, but his reign naturally attracted assassins, political problems, and other monsters.
16. He Inserted Himself Into the Original Secret Wars
The 2015 miniseries Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars retold Marvel’s famous 1984 event while claiming Wade had secretly participated all along. According to his version, he influenced moments nobody remembered afterward. The entire story treated a major piece of Marvel history as something Deadpool had been mysteriously edited out of, which is a classic Wade move.
17. He Fought a Dinosaur Version of Himself
The Marvel Multiverse contains numerous Deadpool variants, but Deadpool the Duck and the dinosaur-like Deadpool (Deadpool Dinosaur) push the concept way farther. At this stage, seeing another masked Wade is less surprising than discovering what species he’ll be.
18. He Saved The World
In Deadpool #25, Wade became involved in a cosmic scheme connected to Tiamat. Cap obviously tried to stop him, leading Deadpool to deliver an extremely undignified kick below the belt. That questionable move then helped him continue the fight and ultimately prevent a disaster, giving him one of superhero history’s least noble world-saving techniques.
19. He Kidnapped Fred Savage
Once Upon a Deadpool reworked the second movie into a more family-friendly release…by adding scenes with Fred Savage. Wade restrained him and forced him to listen while the story was retold. Long story short, the framing device turned a real rerelease into another situation where Deadpool knew he was in on the joke.
20. He Used Time Travel To Repair His Own Movie
The ending of Deadpool 2 gave Wade Cable’s repaired time-travel device, which he immediately used for personal revisions. He saved Vanessa and Peter, wiped out the much-criticized version of Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and stopped Ryan Reynolds from making Green Lantern. If only.
