1. Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch is a powerful sorceress with the ability to manipulate reality using chaos magic. Previously a villain fighting for Ultron, she wanted to kill Tony Stark to avenge her parents' death but eventually became a hero, fighting alongside The Avengers.
2. Black Widow
Black Widow a.k.a. Natasha Romanoff is one of the original members of The Avengers. Although she lacks any superhuman powers, she's a formidable martial arts master, trained assassin, and spy.
3. Mystique
Sometimes a villain, other times a hero, Mystique is a complicated but powerful mutant. She has the ability to shape-shift into anyone, is extremely intelligent, and a fearsome combatant.
4. Rogue
Rogue is a powerful mutant with the ability to absorb the powers and memories of others by touching them. She was originally a villain but reformed as a hero fighting alongside the X-Men. She's a loved but complex character who struggles to control her powers.
5. Storm
One of the leaders of the X-Men, Storm is a fierce mutant with the power to control the weather, summoning intense storms. She's an impactful, highly intelligent character with a strong moral compass.
6. America Chavez
America Chavez, also known as Miss America possesses super strength, speed, and the ability to travel to different dimensions. She's known for her bravery and independence, has Latin American heritage and is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, making her one of the most progressive characters.
7. Jean Grey
Best friends with Storm, Jean Grey is another mutant member of the X-Men. She has telepathic and telekinetic powers. She's also known for her empathy, caring and nurturing nature.
8. Carol Danvers

Created as Thor's adversary, Enchantress is a powerful mystic known for her ability to manipulate reality, create illusions, fly, teleport, and seduce through her magical talents. She's driven by her desire to take power and become immortal.
10. Spider-Woman
Spider-Woman was bitten by a spider as a child and injected with a spider serum developed by her father to save her, giving her spider-like abilities. She was brainwashed into becoming a spy for the terrorist organization HYDRA, but later used her powers only for good, working with The Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D.
11. Kitty Pryde
Kitty Pryde is a core member of the X-Men, joining at the age of 15. She has the ability to move through solid objects like walls, is a skilled fighter, computer expert, and is the spunky and bright heart and soul of the group.
12. She-Hulk
Jen Walters became She-Hulk after receiving a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner. As She-Hulk, she becomes huge with superhuman strength but is able to maintain her own personality and intelligence in this form, unlike her cousin. She is a lawyer known for her confidence, humor, and charming personality.
13. Invisible Woman
As her name suggests, Invisible Woman a.k.a. Sue Storm, has the power to disappear from sight. She can also create force fields which she uses to fight. In addition to being a superhero, she's a wife and mother with strong emotional intelligence and a nurturing side.
14. Polaris
The daughter of Magneto, Polaris has the power to control magnetism, making her one of the strongest mutants. She has a complicated relationship with her past and with mutant affairs in general, at some point trying to leave her life as a superhero to study at university. She is known for being an integral part of both the X-Men and X-Factor.
15. X-23
X-23 is a clone of Wolverine, made using his DNA. She was created as weapon for military purposes but she eventually broke free, fighting for her own purposes. She often works with the X-Men, trying to redeem herself from her violent past.
16. Kate Bishop
After a traumatic experience in her youth, Kate Bishop trained herself in archery and combat to become one of the coolest heroes in the Marvel universe. She's been a part of the Young Avengers and West Coast Avengers and is known for her strength and determination.
17. Misty Knight
Former NYPD officer, Misty Knight is at once a brilliant detective and a fearless fighter with a strong moral compass. She lost an arm fighting alongside the Defenders and was later given a bionic one, making her even more powerful.
18. Sif
Sif is an Asgardian warrior goddess and loyal friend of Thor. Her powers include superhuman strength, endurance, speed, reflexes, and agility.
19. Echo
Echo is the first deaf, indigenous character in the Marvel universe. She's the adopted daughter of the supervillain Kingpin who killed her real father. She's a skilled martial artist who uses her senses in a unique way to enhance her fighting abilities.
20. Gamora
Gamora is a fierce assassin trained by the villain Thanos who adopted her after killing half her race. She's forced to fight for him for years before defecting and joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, saving the universe as she grapples with her dark past.
