20 Places In The Wizarding World We Wish We Could Visit
What's On Your Magical Travel Wish List?
No fictional place holds quite as much magic and allure as the Wizarding World. From the charming shops of Hogsmeade to the majestic halls of Hogwarts Castle, J.K. Rowling didn't just write a book series; she created a universe that fed the imaginations of countless children. Here are 20 places in the Wizarding World we've wanted to be able to visit ever since we cracked open our first Harry Potter book.
1. Hogwarts Castle
The ultimate destination, Hogwarts, is where the magic happens. Harry and his friends' initial approach to the castle, brightly lit, with its majestic towers, will live in our memories and our imaginations forever.
2. The Leaky Cauldron
The Leaky Cauldron is the hidden pub that connects Muggle London with the wizarding world through a secret gateway. It's a cozy little gem that we could easily imagine near Camden Market or Brick Lane, where we would love to hang out. Just steer clear of the pea soup.
3. Honeydukes
Honeydukes is the charming sweets shop in Hogmeade Village. The mountains of sugary goodness, including inventive treats exclusive to the wizarding world like chocolate frogs and every flavored beans, are enchanting for kids and adults alike.
4. Ollivander's Wand Shop
Where "the wand chooses the wizard," what Harry Potter fan didn't dream of entering Ollivander's and being matched with their perfect wand? A foot-long redwood with a unicorn core, perhaps, or a laurel wood with a dragon heartstring.
5. Three Broomsticks
Three Broomsticks is a warm and cozy inn and pub located in Hogsmeade. We'd love to come in for a round of butterbeer and some shots of firewhisky.

6. Zonko's
Zonko's in Hogmeade is the legendary joke shop, selling the most inventive enchanted prank products J.K. Rowling could dream up. It was Fred and George Weasley's favorite haunt before they created their shop.

7. The Room of Requirement
The Room of Requirement is the magical room in Hogwarts Castle that appears only when a person needs it. It can transform into whatever is required, whether a potion lab or a garden. We have to admit we'd be curious what the room would look like for us should it appear.
8. The Great Hall
We have to admit, we've always dreamed of the feasts at The Great Hall. We dream of it not only for the endless trays of delectable food, but for the lively conversation, floating decorations, Dumbledore's speeches, and the occasional ghost popping its head through the table.
9. Quidditch Pitch
Whether as a player or a spectator, the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch would be the place to unwind after a busy school week. That is, of course, as long as there are no dementors or professors' robes being set on fire.
10. The Hogwarts Express
From Platform 9¾ to boarding the train to arriving at Hogwarts, the whole journey always looked marvelous. Especially when you have heaps of gold coins at your disposal to spend on the sweets trolley and sample all the delicacies that the wizarding world has to offer.
11. Shell Cottage
Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour's home, Shell Cottage, was more than just a safe haven for the Order of the Phoenix; it was a veritable paradise that we would love to unwind in. Overlooking the sea on a cliff, the cottage was described as a "lonely and beautiful" place.
12. Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes
Once graduating from Hogwarts, the Weasley twins built their success on selling prank products like extendable ears and pygmy puffs at their shop on Diagon Alley. If anyone should own a joke shop, it's these two boys, so we know it would be a fun place to visit.
13. The Forbidden Forest
Anywhere deemed "forbidden" is obviously going to spark our curiosity. We would love to venture into the spooky Forbidden Forest and happen upon Firenze the centaur or a unicorn.
14. The Burrow
The eccentric and cozy Weasley family residence, full of magical devices, trinkets, and chaos, would be sure to charm us just like it did Harry the first time he entered. It wasn't only the magical presence that made an impression on him, but the warmth and love.
15. Gringotts Wizarding Bank
The hustle and bustle at Gringotts Bank, the image of vaults filled with gold and other, even more prized possessions, and the domineering goblins that guard them at their marble desks would be a sight to behold. It's the ultimate symbol of wealth and security.
16. Hagrid’s Hut
We'd love to take a break for afternoon tea with the gentle half-giant Hagrid in his cozy little haven of a hut where no small mugs exist. We wonder what sort of strange animal he would be secretly harboring there.

17. The Knight Bus
The weird, chaotic, and wonderful knight bus, full of transient wizards who are somehow immune to being thrown around by the bumpy ride, would be a must-have experience. Speeding through the night, jerking from side to side, and breaking at the last second, the ride would be sure to give us anxiety, but would be a hoot nonetheless.
18. 12 Grimmauld Place
12 Grimmauld Place is the ancestral home of Sirius Black, hidden by the Fidelius Charm, meaning only those who know its secret can see it and enter. We'd love to walk around its gloomy, enchanted corridors and absorb the dark history of the Black family while the Order of the Phoenix sits around the dining room table, planning their next move.
19. The Hall Of Prophecy
The Hall of Prophecy was a chamber inside the Ministry of Magic containing records of prophecies concealed in orbs. It's eerie, beautiful, and full of secrets.
20. Durmstrang Institute
A visit to the wizarding world wouldn't be complete without checking out the European wizarding school, Durmstrang Institute. We know little about it other than its reputation for dark magic, and we can easily imagine a dark, grand, Gothic castle in Scandinavia.
