The lanterns are an integral faction in the DC universe, leveraging rings that tap into the power of the emotional spectrum. However, some lanterns stand out as the most powerful beings around, while others don’t seem to fully harness the power of their ring. With that in mind, here are 20 lanterns ranked from weakest to strongest.
1. Arisia Rab
Arisia is a courageous and powerful member of the Green Lantern Corps, selected by the Guardians to uphold her family's proud legacy of service. She is a tactical genius and a combat expert who has been essential in many historic battles, and once held her own in a fight with the mightiest of allies, Kilowog. She has stared down foes as powerful as Mongul and the Manhunters.
2. Kilowog
Kilowog is a serious-minded drill sergeant, the chief trainer of new Green Lantern Corps recruits. He is from the planet Bolovax Vik, and gave up his people and home planet to join the Corps. After a near fatality, he was resurrected and is one of the longest-lived and most highly respected members of the Corps.
3. Sojourner Mullein
Sojourner "Jo" Mullein is a former police officer who was one of DC's Young Animal imprint's Green Lanterns. She is a brash, independent, and street-smart woman.
Mullein is an unorthodox Lantern as she was a former NYPD officer who was forced out after attempting to expose corruption within the force. She was directly selected by a Guardian and dispatched to monitor a far sector for a year.
4. Jessica Cruz
Jessica Cruz is a female Green Lantern who originally got superpowers from a tainted version of the ring. She overcame these psychological limitations with her own will and was thus granted a true Green Lantern ring. Jessica has since established herself as one of the most powerful and willful human Lanterns in the Corps.
5. Guy Gardner
Guy Gardner is one of the earliest human Green Lanterns. He is brash, loudmouthed, and fearless. Guy can be obnoxious, but he has repeatedly demonstrated that he is a reliable hero when the chips are down. A complicated past which includes being a Red Lantern at one point.
6. Mogo
Mogo is one of the Green Lanterns, a sentient planet. He is the first sentient being ever to have had a power ring. Due to his size and power, he can do almost anything, and his strength is often brought up. His most notable moment involves being the first Lantern to defeat the lethal Bulphung.
7. Aya
Aya was an artificial intelligence based off of a shard of Ion.
She became a certified Green Lantern herself. She then defeated the Anti-Monitor on her own, and has so much power she almost destroyed the entire Universe in one moment of emotion.

8. Iroque
Iroque is a mysterious and powerful being that acts as the leader of the Indigo Tribe. She is a calm and collected warrior who is an expert at using her power staff. Her leadership is so inspirational that she deserves a spot among her lantern peers.
9. Carol Ferris
Carol Ferris started off as a human who was initially abducted. But she rose as a leader who guided the Star Sapphires away from their darker side and into good by embracing the violet light of love. Her powerful will and compassion helped her sway an entire Corps to her way of thinking.
10. Atrocitus
Atrocitus, the original Red Lantern, is the raging leader of the Red Lantern Corps. A living embodiment of rage, Atrocitus' vast anger gives him tremendous strength and fighting ability, allowing him to best many other powerful Lanterns in combat. Atrocitus is immortal and physically larger than life.
11. Larfleeze
Larfleeze is the only member of the Orange Lantern Corps, as he took out the rest to increase his own power. He is the strongest and greediest Lantern known to exist, being one of the most powerful Lanterns in the Universe.
Larfleeze corrupted Hal Jordan, defeated Atrocitus in combat, and many other remarkable achievements.
12. Saint Walker
Saint Walker is the first Blue Lantern and the lone survivor of Relic's attack on his home planet, Odym. A member of the Rainbow Rodeo and the New Guardians, Walker is a leader who uses compassion and courage to inspire and uplift others. He fights against the dark by drawing strength from the emotional energies of hope and peace.
13. John Stewart
John Stewart is the fourth human member of the Green Lantern Corps, having originally been recruited to stand in temporarily for the injured Guy Gardner. A trained architect and former soldier, John is known for his discipline, leadership skills, and meticulous creativity, creating some of the most detailed and utilitarian constructs in the Corps. Over the years, he has become one of the most respected and powerful Lanterns.
14. Volthoom
Volthoom is a time traveler who traveled to the beginning of the universe and absorbed the powers of all nine Lantern Corps into himself. He united all of the Corps against him and is a legendary foe. Even with the power of all the Lantern Corps combined, Volthoom was eventually defeated by Hal Jordan, Sinestro, Nekron, and the combined power of the Lantern Corps.
15. Sinestro
Sinestro is a former Green Lantern who became obsessed with power. He eventually turned on the Corps and created his own army, the Yellow Lanterns, which he currently leads. He has fought and defeated the universe's most powerful villains including Volthoom and Mongul.

16. Alitha
The original Green Lantern, Alitha, lived on the planet of the ancient Third World before New Genesis and Darkseid had begun. Alitha was the very first Lantern to be chosen by Rami to combat the First Lantern, Volthoom. She was one of the seven power ring users that began it all.

17. Hal Jordan
Hal Jordan is the archetypal Green Lantern: the strongest-willed and most fearless of them all. Recruited by Abin Sur, Hal's initial reluctance turned to acceptance as he displayed both bravery and heroism. He has become the benchmark with which all other Lanterns are compared.
18. Sodam Yat
Sodam Yat is a Daxamite Green Lantern who was prophesied to be both the greatest champion and the eventual downfall of the Corps. He was chosen by a power ring while escaping his home planet and later became the host of Ion. He was trained by Kyle Rayner and rapidly learned to use his powers, becoming a nearly unstoppable force of will.
19. Kyle Rayner
Kyle Rayner is the second human to become a Green Lantern.
He was chosen by Ganthet to bear the last power ring in existence following the near annihilation of the Corps. He was also the host of Ion and the first to achieve the impossible and become a full spectrum wielder. He is also the only White Lantern, and as such, he is able to wield the power of life itself.

20. Nekron
Nekron is the living embodiment of death, creator of the Black Lantern Corps and the central force behind the Blackest Night event. So powerful and evil is Nekron that it took the combined might of all eight other Lantern Corps to stop him. Nekron is the central antagonist of the Blackest Night storyline and is the first villain to bring the seven Lantern Corps together against a single enemy.
